It’s been a process of trial and error, of endless learning at every level:
Learning about web apps, learning about education and course structure. Learning about hiring people, managing expectations, about accounting, about emails, social media, about marketing, branding, client acquisition. My God there’s an infinite amount of things to learn.
But most of all, I learned about myself. One of my biggest enemies was and still is myself.
It takes so long to get anyone to appreciate what you’ve done. So you’ll start doubting yourself, you start thinking it’s pointless. Then why get up and continue working every day? Why not just play video games and sabotage the process?
You’ll get your senses back together and think: maybe this next email or video will draw attention, just to be disappointed again.
Yes, that’s the most important skill I had to develop: to learn about myself. My psychology. My motivations, hopes and dreams. To learn to trust myself. To trust the path I’m on. And so to turn all that into a strength instead of letting it sabotage me.
Today, Kameleon is still tiny and has very few users, but already now I have learned so much that I will never regret having set out on this journey!
We just released an updated version of Kameleon with many additional features. And I’m currently working on adding three new languages. Let’s see where the journey goes. 🙂
